Job summary

Lost & Found Restaurant in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking an experienced Service Captain to lead our front-of-house team and elevate the dining experience.

You will guide guests and staff through memorable moments, mentor servers, coordinate service standards, and ensure smooth operations from arrival to departure.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in fine dining, upscale casual, or high-volume restaurant environment.
• Leadership or supervisory experience in front-of-house preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service etiquette.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team leadership skills.
• Calm, composed, and solutions-oriented in a fast-paced setting.
• RAMP or equivalent responsible alcohol service certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate front-of-house staff during shifts to ensure seamless dining experiences.
• Greet and engage guests, managing table flow, seating, and overall guest satisfaction. Train, mentor, and motivate servers and support staff on service standards and best practices.
• Communicate effectively between the kitchen and dining room to ensure timely and accurate food delivery.
• Handle guest concerns, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and urgency.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, wine, and beverage offerings to assist guests and staff.
• Uphold restaurant cleanliness, organization, and service standards throughout each shift.
