Job summary

JOEY Restaurants is hiring a Service Assistant to support our service team in a fast-paced California dining room. You will anticipate needs, assist servers, clear tables, and help deliver a world-class hospitality experience for guests.

No experience is required, but you must be able to obtain local Food Handler and California RBS certifications. The role offers $18.42 per hour plus tips, with opportunities for growth and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Must have or be able to obtain valid local and/or state Food Handler and California Responsible Beverage Service certificates.
• Passion for hospitality and proven ability to deliver world-class experiences.
• Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
• Able to walk/stand for prolonged periods; lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with friendly and attentive service throughout their dining experience.
• Assist servers in delivering exceptional service and a pristine environment.
• Clear and set tables in a timely manner.
• Monitor and assist with the delivery of guest beverages and food orders.
• Maintain restaurant cleanliness by bussing tables, glassware, dishes, and cutlery.
• Resolve service issues and guest complaints with urgency and good judgment.
• Complete opening, side work, and closing duties; stock and organize stations.
• Assist guest service team with front door duties and seating guests.
• Reinforce guest identification requirements and age restrictions for alcohol.
• Follow all food and alcohol service and safety procedures.

As a Service Assistant, you support the success of your restaurant service team. Wage Scale

$18.42 per hour. This position is eligible for tips.

Duties

• Follow all food and alcohol service and handling safety precautions and procedures.

Basic Qualifications

• No experience necessary.
• Must have or be able to obtain valid local and/or state Food Handler and California Responsible Beverage Service certifications.
• Possess a passion for hospitality and a proventrack recordof creating world-class hospitality experiences.
• Thrive in adynamic,fast-paced work environment.
• Be able towalk andstand for prolonged periods of time; frequent bending, reaching, and stretching; repetitive manual tasks;and liftand carryup to50lbs.
