Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking a full-time Service Assistant III to replenish par level areas with supplies and accurately pick and pack orders for hospital supply locations and off-site facilities.

The role involves inventory using iPad handhelds, delivering supplies via cargo van, and maintaining safe, organized storage in a busy hospital environment. A high school diploma and hospital experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years of material distribution experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• One-year hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inventory par level areas using electronic handheld equipment - iPad readers.
• Restocks par level areas and delivers supplies to par level area.
• Maintains and arranges items on shelves for maximum efficiency.
• Removes debris and boxes from the clean rooms.
• Processes requisitions in PMM computer system.
• Communicates stock outs, unit of measure discrepancies, and order problems to the Manager of Distribution.
• Performs assigned work safely, adhering to department safety rules and practices.
• Reports unsafe activities or hazards to supervisor.
• Performs cycle counts and keeps shelf locations neat and orderly.
• Assists patient care staff with identification of supply needs and alternatives.
• Delivers STAT supply requests to user departments via cargo van.
