Job summary

TECO Energy, Inc. is seeking a Service Area Coordinator in Tampa, FL, to provide administrative and coordination support for Distribution Design work management.

The role involves engineering packages, CRM/WorkPro tasks, billing setup, and records retention within a busy utility environment. The entry-level position emphasizes accuracy, organization, and teamwork, with growth opportunities as you gain experience across service areas and projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred: Associate’s Degree from an accredited college/university.
• Valid Florida State driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Minimum of 3 years of related administrative or systems experience in a utility, engineering, construction or related operations/customer service environment.
• Preferred: experience navigating CRM, WorkPro, PragmaCAD and GIS.
• Must demonstrate excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to reference documentation and guidelines to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Assembles all new engineering work packages and distributes to the appropriate departments; processes permits; handles work orders related to service, upgrades, and line maintenance.
• Maintains central filing system; serves as Records Coordinator for the service area; manages records retention and purging.
• Provides technical support for Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, WorkPro and CRM; generates reports and spreadsheets for management; coordinates meetings and manages office equipment.
• Back-up support to Senior Service Area Coordinator; dispatches tickets to crews, sets up kWh billing, and handles inquiries from New Construction and customers.
• Supports billing setup for meters and ensures accurate data in WorkPro and CRM; prepares reports and liaises with other departments as needed.
