Qualifications

Position and Responsibilities – ELECTRO-MECHANICAL SERVICE & SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

The Electro-Mechanical Service & Support Technician reports directly to the Technical Service and Support Manager and will be trained and eventually responsible for all aspects of technical knowledge, installation, set-up, commissioning, service, training, and support for the Maripak equipment line, and all related functions for all Maripak equipment and strategic partner integrated equipment. Entry level to seasoned senior level candidate's welcome. Compensation based on experience

Availability to travel (up to 50%) required. Individual must be available to travel regionally, domestically with the US 50 states, as necessary and directed with some occasional international travel possible. A valid driver's license and passport will be required. This position will be a mix of in-house and field work after significant mentoring and training.

Job Requirements:

  • ∙ Ability to Lift Up To 50 lbs.
  • ∙ PLC and Frequency Drive Experience a plus
  • ∙ Minimum of a Two-Year Technical Degree preferred
  • ∙ Ability to Troubleshoot Control Circuits

The Electro-Mechanical Service & Support Technician identifies, analyzes, and repairs equipment failures, installs new components or parts. Installs, configures, troubleshoots, and maintains all necessary equipment in house and in the field. In addition, the technician will research and answer difficult end user, customer, distributor & reseller partner questions about equipment features and recommends appropriate solutions. The technician will develop creative solutions for unique, chronic, or complex issues. The technician will perform start up testing and customer training on equipment features and general maintenance in-house or in the field. The individual may mentor less experienced level technicians and interns and verify work and progress. After general training and mentoring the technician will have a deep knowledge of the organization's equipment capabilities and services. As the technician continues their self-education of the equipment and systems through experience, a career and goal minded individual will be considered an equipment specialist on complex technical equipment issues and is continuing toward the path to acquiring the expert level of master equipment technician by continual education, training, and instruction. Work is directed by the Technical Service and Support Manager. A highly independent and self-motivated individual is a requirement for this position. The technician may assume a team lead role for the work group as a team leader technician role.

The technician will learn and use daily, Maripak's standard operating system, equipment database and troubleshooting knowledge base, as part of their required daily duties. Some supervisory, and other roles/responsibilities may be assigned as needed by the direct manager where fitted for the operation. In house shop tools are provided by the company. Travel tools and a TSA approved road box will be the responsibility of the technician once graduated to field work.
