Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking a Service and Repair Mechanic for OES Equipment, part of the DPR Family of Companies. You will inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair rental equipment to ensure safety, compliance, and reliability, supporting both shop and limited field service as needed.

Your work orders will document diagnostics, labor, parts usage, and repair outcomes. You will collaborate with branch leadership and operations to prioritize repairs and ensure Ready to Rent status.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in equipment service, repair, or related mechanical field.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• OSHA 10-Hour General Industry certification required.
• CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and repairs mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel-powered rental equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Performs preventive maintenance and executes OEM-recommended service schedules to maintain fleet health and compliance.
• Documents diagnostics, labor, parts usage, and repair outcomes in work orders for fleet reporting.
• Maintains OSHA/EHS safety standards and proper use of PPE during repairs.
• Assists with parts ordering, stock management, and inventory organization.
• Collaborates with branch staff to prioritize repairs based on fleet demand.

Job Summary

Performs inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of rental equipment to ensure safety, compliance, and operational reliability. Supports both shop-based and limited field service activities as directed. Restores equipment to “Ready to Rent” status while maintaining documentation accuracy and safety compliance. Works closely with branch leadership and operations teams to prioritize repairs based on business needs and may assist with field service support as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and repairs mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel-powered rental equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Performs preventive maintenance and executes OEM-recommended service schedules to maintain fleet health and compliance.
• Troubleshoots equipment issues, identifies repair scope, and escalates complex failures to Heavy Diesel Mechanic or Service & Repair Lead when necessary.
• Generates, updates, and closes work orders documenting diagnostics, labor, parts usage, and repair outcomes to support fleet reporting and audit requirements.
• Maintains compliance with OSHA, OES EHS, and site-specific safety standards while ensuring proper use of PPE and safe repair practices.
• Assists with parts ordering, stock management, and inventory organization to support timely equipment turnaround.
• Collaborates with branch staff and operations teams to prioritize production equipment repairs based on fleet demand.

Education Qualifications

• High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.

Work Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in equipment service, repair, or related mechanical field required.

Certifications and Licenses

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10-Hour General Industry certification required.
• Commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred.
