Job summary

Mosby Building Arts, Ltd. is seeking a field-ready individual to perform home assessments and coordinate handyman work. The role includes identifying maintenance issues, documenting findings with photos, and providing clients with condition overviews.

You will execute minor repairs, coordinate schedules with clients and craftspeople, and maintain clear communication on services. A strong knowledge of residential systems and basic remodeling skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3 years of home maintenance, home inspection, or a similar role experience
• Certifications in construction, home inspection, or related field preferred
• High-school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Strong knowledge of residential building systems and maintenance practices
• Basic remodeling skills for routine home maintenance and repairs
• Proficient computer skills, with the ability to use or learn new software
• Perform duties efficiently, professionally, and courteously
• Excellent organization, time management, attention to detail, and communication skills
• Have own transportation with valid driver’s license, insurance, and ability to transport between sites
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, climb ladders, and move 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of residential properties to identify maintenance issues
• Document findings in detailed reports with photos and recommendations
• Provide clients with an overview of home condition and immediate concerns
• Execute minor repairs and routine maintenance (filters, fixtures, caulking, drywall, carpentry)
• Coordinate schedules with clients and craftspeople for repairs and improvements
• Communicate with clients to keep them informed about services
• Maintain attendance, punctuality, safety procedures, and professional conduct
• Pursue personal development of relevant skills and knowledge
• Perform other miscellaneous tasks as requested

Job description

Reports To: Production Manager

Job Purpose: To perform home assessments and coordinate related handyman work, while occasionally executing related repairs.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of residential properties to identify potential maintenance issues.


• Document findings in detailed reports, including photographs and recommendations for repairs or improvement using custom CRM and other software


• Provide clients with an overview of the condition of their home and discuss any immediate concerns.


• Execute minor repairs and routine maintenance tasks such as changing air filters, replacing light fixtures, caulking, patching drywall, and performing basic carpentry.


• Coordinate schedules with clients and craftspeople to perform repairs and make small improvements.


• Communicate with clients to keep them informed and up to date on services provided.


• Maintain regular and consistent attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, cheerfulness, and adherence to safety procedures


• Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for growth


• Other miscellaneous tasks as requested

Minimum Requirements:

• 3 years of home maintenance, home inspection, or similar role experience


• Certifications in construction, home inspection, or related field preferred


• High-school diploma or equivalent preferred


• Strong knowledge of residential building systems and maintenance practices


• Basic remodeling skills needed for routine home maintenance and repairs.


• Proficient computer skills, with the ability to use or learn new software


• Perform duties in an efficient, professional, and courteous manner

• Have your own transportation, valid class E driver’s license, auto insurance, and ability to transport yourself and materials between job sites


• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
