Job summary

Mosby Building Arts, Ltd. is seeking a hands-on Home Maintenance Specialist to perform thorough home assessments, document findings, and coordinate related handyman work.

You will use the company CRM and other software to communicate results and schedule repairs with clients and craftspeople. Responsibilities include executing minor repairs such as changing air filters, patching drywall, caulking, and basic carpentry, while ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 3 years of home maintenance, home inspection, or similar role experience.
• Strong knowledge of residential building systems and maintenance practices.
• Basic remodeling skills for routine home maintenance and repairs.
• Proficient computer skills with ability to use or learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of residential properties to identify maintenance issues.
• Document findings in detailed reports with photos and recommendations using CRM and other software.
• Provide clients with an overview of the home condition and discuss immediate concerns.
• Execute minor repairs and routine maintenance (air filters, light fixtures, caulking, drywall patching, basic carpentry).
• Coordinate schedules with clients and craftsmen to perform repairs and small improvements.
• Communicate with clients to keep them informed about services.
• Maintain attendance, punctuality, safety, and professional demeanor.

Job Purpose

To perform home assessments and coordinate related handyman work, while occasionally executing related repairs.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of residential properties to identify potential maintenance issues.
• Document findings in detailed reports, including photographs and recommendations for repairs or improvement using custom CRM and other software
• Provide clients with an overview of the condition of their home and discuss any immediate concerns.
• Execute minor repairs and routine maintenance tasks such as changing air filters, replacing light fixtures, caulking, patching drywall, and performing basic carpentry.
• Coordinate schedules with clients and craftspeople to perform repairs and make small improvements.
• Communicate with clients to keep them informed and up to date on services provided.
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, cheerfulness, and adherence to safety procedures
• Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for growth
• Other miscellaneous tasks as requested

Minimum Requirements

• 3 years of home maintenance, home inspection, or similar role experience
• Certifications in construction, home inspection, or related field preferred
• High-school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Strong knowledge of residential building systems and maintenance practices
• Basic remodeling skills needed for routine home maintenance and repairs.
• Proficient computer skills, with the ability to use or learn new software
• Perform duties in an efficient, professional, and courteous manner
• Excellent organization, time management, attention to detail, and communication skills
• Have your own transportation, valid class E driver’s license, auto insurance, and ability to transport yourself and materials between job sites
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, work with your hands, climb ladders, and move 50 lbs. independently for extended periods of time
