Job summary

Sonic Automotive family dealership Town and Country Toyota in Charlotte, NC is hiring a Service Advisor. This full-time position offers a yearly compensation range of USD 65,000–USD 130,000, with on-target earnings (OTE) up to USD 120,000.

You will schedule service appointments, greet customers, prepare estimates, track repairs, and maintain service records while ensuring high customer satisfaction. Dealership experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Two years of dealership experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Must be authorized to work in the USA.
• Must pass pre-employment testing including background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver license.

Responsibilities

• Schedules service appointments. Obtains customer and vehicle data prior to arrival when possible.
• Greets customers in a timely, friendly manner.
• Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts. Establishes 'promised time'.
• Checks on progress of repair throughout the day. Contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promise time, explains cost and time requirements in detail, and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.
• Test-drive the vehicle or refer to the test technician as necessary.
• Maintain CSI rating at least comparable to manufacturer/branch average.
• Advise customers on car care per manufacturers’ specifications, using maintenance menus.
• Maintains a dealership-prescribed standard for hours per customer repair order written.
• Follows safety policies and reports accidents to a manager or supervisor.

Schedule:

• FULL TIME
• 5days a week / 2 days off
• Weekend availability required

Our Service Advisor is responsible for running an efficient and profitable service department. He/She will operate the department at maximum production, controlling costs, building a loyal clientele, maintaining good employee relationships, setting and obtaining sales and profit objectives, and maintaining service records.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Schedules service appointments. Obtains customer and vehicle data prior to arrival when possible.

• Understands and follows federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes, OSHA right-to-know, etc.
• Follows all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.

• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Must haveDealership experience.

• Two years of experience in a dealership position.
• General knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations.
• Sales experience preferred.
• Professional personal appearance.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
