Job summary

Caskinette Ford, a high-volume Ford dealership in the North Country, seeks a Service Advisor to join our growing service team in Carthage, NY. You will be the primary link between customers and technicians, guiding them from arrival through vehicle pickup and ensuring an outstanding experience.

We value strong customer service, automotive interest, and willingness to learn. Prior service-advisor experience is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Automotive knowledge or interest
• Previous Service Advisor, Service Writer or Service Consultant experience is a plus
• Ford dealership experience is a plus
• Sales or other customer-facing experience may also be a great fit
• Comfortable using computers and learning new technology
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
• Positive, energetic and professional attitude
• Strong personal and professional integrity
• Desire to build a long-term career
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Ability to drive a manual transmission is a plus

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and professionally
• Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle needs
• Schedule service appointments and create repair orders
• Provide estimates for repairs and maintenance
• Communicate technician recommendations clearly to customers
• Obtain authorization for additional repairs
• Keep customers informed about repair progress, costs and completion times
• Recommend maintenance based on vehicle and manufacturer guidelines
• Explain warranty coverage when applicable
• Coordinate loaner vehicles when needed
• Review completed repairs and invoices with customers
• Work closely with technicians, Parts and Service Management
• Build relationships that keep customers coming back to Caskinette Ford
