Job summary

Transwest Trucks in Savage, MN is seeking a Service Advisor to join our team. This hourly role reports to the Service Manager and involves handling customer needs, creating service orders, and coordinating with the Foreman to ensure timely repairs.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or equivalent and show strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills. The position offers an 2:30 PM–11:00 PM shift, Monday–Friday with Saturday rotation, and an hourly wage of $18–$30 plus

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Actively listen to customers and describe problems or services needed.
• Prepare service orders and quotes for customers.
• Upsell and promote additional equipment and services.
• Obtain customer authorizations and signatures.
• Present repair orders to the Foreman for dispatch.
• Coordinate with Foreman to ensure repairs are completed.
• Prepare invoice repair orders and arrange pick up or delivery.
• Communicate with customers and the foreman as needed.
• Ensure secured payments are collected prior to releasing serviced vehicles.
• Update Uptime Pro and maintain records.
• Answer service calls and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Actively listen to customers and create descriptions of any problems or services that may be needed.
• Prepare service orders.
• Engage in upsells and promotions for additional equipment and services.
• Obtain customer authorizations and signatures.
• Present repair orders to the Foreman for dispatch.
• Prepare and present customers with quotes.
• Communicate with customers and the foreman as needed.
• Work with the Foreman to ensure all repairs are completed.
• Prepare invoice repair orders.
• Contact customers for pick up or delivery.
• Ensure that a secured payments are made prior to releasing serviced vehicles.
• Update Uptime Pro (Freightliner Elite Support Locations).
• Answer service calls.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Work Environment & Physical Abilities:

• Activities require a full range of motion including; handling and lifting, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
• This position may require standing, balancing, bending or stooping for prolonged periods of time.
• This position requires corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
• This position requires the occasional ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 80 lbs.
• Required to perform work inside and outside, in varying weather situations.
• Must be able to operate simple, complex and heavy-duty machinery.

Required Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and MVR in good standing.
