Job summary

Paretti Jaguar Land Rover New Orleans is a family-owned dealership serving the New Orleans area for 90 years. We are seeking an Experienced SERVICE ADVISOR who focuses on relational engagement with our client base and provides exceptional service for Jaguar and Land Rover brands.

The role requires applicable automotive knowledge, excellent communication, and the ability to manage complex service workflows in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Service Advisor in automotive industry.
• Luxury dealership experience preferred.
• Knowledge of automotive service repair processes and service flow.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients promptly and courteously and act as liaison between client and technicians.
• Provide accurate repair/maintenance cost estimates and obtain client authorization.
• Prepare repair orders describing symptoms, problems, and repairs.
• Communicate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and status updates to customers.
• Process payments and respond to customer inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Greet each Client in a prompt, courteous and enthusiastic manner 100% of the time and never differentiate between client that is paying for service and warranty service.
• Serve as the liaison between the Clients (collecting accurate and relevant data) and Technicians (providing each with necessary updates); ensuring the customer's needs are understood by the Technician and the needs and recommended service/repairs are understood by the Customer.
• Provide the client with an accurate estimate of repair or maintenance cost, and/or a minimal diagnostic fee with explanation of associated cost, detailing problems and pertinent information, and secure client authorization of repair or service.
• Prepare repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required, entering RO into service database system.
• Communicate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs
• Keep customers informed of the status of their vehicle repairs
• Process payments and handle customer inquiries

Experience:

• At least 5 years of experience as a Service Advisor in an automotive or related industry is required. Luxury Dealership Experience is Preferred.
• Knowledge of Automotive Service Repair, Brake Repair, Diesel Engine Repair, Tire Service, Preventive Maintenance, Electrical Vehicles and Suspension Systems is required.
• Great attitude with a high-energy, out-going personality with experience in developing relationships.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Can work in a fast-paced environment, organized and can manage time efficiently.
