Job summary

Paretti Jaguar Land Rover New Orleans is seeking experienced Luxury Brand Service Technicians to join our team. We are a family-owned dealership serving New Orleans for 90 years, building a people-focused culture that values relational relationships with customers and staff.

The ideal candidate has extensive automotive experience, strong diagnostic skills, and a commitment to quality workmanship and ongoing professional development. ASE certs and Jaguar Land Rover familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a professional automotive technician.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
• Luxury or premium automotive experience preferred.
• ASE Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle concerns.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs per manufacturer specs.
• Provide accurate repair recommendations and service needs.
• Follow workshop processes and safety policies.
• Road-test vehicles to verify repairs and quality-check work.

Paretti Jaguar Land Rover New Orleans is looking for experienced and career-minded Luxury Brand Service Technicians to join our team. Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle concerns.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs according to manufacturer specifications.
• Provide accurate recommendations regarding required repairs and service needs.
• Follow manufacturer repair steps and processes for all required repairs.
• Use manufacturer-approved diagnostic equipment and technical information to accurately diagnose vehicle concerns.
• Stay current on technical service bulletins and other technical information that may apply to customer concerns.
• Road-test vehicles as required to verify repairs and quality-check work performed.
• Follow the dealership's repair escalation process when additional technical assistance is required.
• Adhere to all factory warranty requirements, including accurate time punches, documentation, and parts returns.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all services and repairs performed.
• Maintain cleanliness of customer vehicles while they are in the technician's possession.
• Keep the service bay, tools, toolbox, and surrounding work area clean and organized.
• Adhere to all dealership, manufacturer, and safety policies and procedures.
• Continuously improve technical knowledge and repair techniques through training and hands-on experience.
• Assist and support fellow technicians and team members when needed.
• Lead or mentor junior technicians by providing guidance and technical assistance when appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Service Management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a professional automotive technician.
• Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
• Luxury or premium automotive experience strongly preferred.
• Jaguar Land Rover experience is highly preferred.
• ASE Certification preferred.
• Previous manufacturer certification is a plus.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
• Knowledge of modern automotive electrical, electronic, and computer-controlled systems.
• Ability to read and understand repair manuals, wiring diagrams, technical bulletins, and manufacturer repair procedures.
• Ability to efficiently diagnose and repair vehicles while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Ability to use computerized diagnostic equipment and automotive scan tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Must be a team player with impeccable honesty and integrity.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
