Job summary

Kohler Co. is seeking a casual part-time server to ensure guests in the Restaurant, Bar and Banquet areas are served to the highest standard. You will take orders, serve and prepare food and beverages in a friendly, timely manner, and upsell where possible.

This onsite role in Kohler, WI offers weekend and weekday shifts from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. Minimum 2 years server experience and Safe Serve certification required, with tips included in hourly pay (rates starting at $2.33–$6.70 plus tips).

Responsibilities

• Inform guests about daily specials and menu changes.
• Upsell by suggesting food and beverages.

• Greet guests and present menus.

• Clear and reset tables and maintain dining space.
• Assist with stocking and maintaining restaurant stock levels.
• Coordinate with staff to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction.

Opportunity

Ensure that all guests are served to the standard in the Restaurant / Bar / Banquet areas. Takes orders for, serves (where applicable, prepares) food and beverages to guests as per the standards in a friendly, timely and efficient manner.

This is a casual part-time position working weekends and weekdays. Hours vary between 10:00 am - 10:00 pm.

Specific Responsibilities

• Informs guests about the special items for the day and menu changes if any.
• Suggest food and beverages to the guest utilizing appropriate methods to upsell.
• Take food and beverage orders from the guest and accurately enter into Point of sale (POS) system.
• Greets guests and presents them with the menu when applicable.
• Process payment transactions.
• Clear and reset table settings and linens, as needed.
• Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor.
• Communicate to the guest and provide assistance with questions.
• Coordinate with restaurant staff to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction.
• Server food and beverage per the course of order.
• Observes guests and ensure their satisfaction with the food and service.
• Promptly respond to guest with any additional request.
• Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses.
• Prepare mixed drinks for service to your customers table when applicable (must be 18 or over and licensed).
• Understands and can communicate products and services available at the resort.
• Assist with stocking and maintaining the restaurant par stock levels and side station.
• Help other areas of the restaurant such as answering telephones and seating guests.

The hourly range for this position is $2.33 - $6.70 plus tips/gratuity. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
