Job summary

Kohler Co. in Kohler, WI is seeking a part-time server for weekends and weekdays, onsite at Whistling Straits. You will greet guests, take and enter orders, upsell menu items, deliver food and beverages, process payments, and ensure a welcoming dining experience.

This role requires Safe Serve certification and at least 2 years of server experience. The position offers flexible hours (10:00 am–10:00 pm) with tips and authorization to work in the US.

Location: Kohler, WI

Opportunity

Ensure that all guests are served to the standard in the Restaurant / Bar / Banquet areas. Takes orders for, serves (where applicable, prepares) food and beverages to guests as per the standards in a friendly, timely and efficient manner.

This is a casual part-time position working weekends and weekdays. Hours vary between 10:00 am - 10:00 pm.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Informs guests about the special items for the day and menu changes if any.
• Suggest food and beverages to the guest utilizing appropriate methods to upsell.
• Take food and beverage orders from the guest and accurately enter into Point of sale (POS) system.
• Greets guests and presents them with the menu when applicable.
• Process payment transactions.
• Clear and reset table settings and linens, as needed.
• Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor.
• Communicate to the guest and provide assistance with questions.
• Coordinate with restaurant staff to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction.
• Server food and beverage per the course of order.
• Observes guests and ensure their satisfaction with the food and service.
• Promptly respond to guest with any additional request.
• Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses.
• Prepare mixed drinks for service to your customers table when applicable (must be 18 or over and licensed).
• Understands and can communicate products and services available at the resort.
• Assist with stocking and maintaining the restaurant par stock levels and side station.
• Help other areas of the restaurant such as answering telephones and seating guests.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The hourly range for this position is $2.33 - $6.70 plus tips/gratuity. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
