Job summary

Wahlburgers is seeking friendly, energetic Servers for weekend shifts in Connecticut. You will guide Guests through our menu, take accurate orders, input items at the POS, and ensure a swift, pleasant dining experience with attentive service.

Our team prides itself on hospitality, teamwork, and maintaining high safety and sanitation standards in a fast-paced environment. Weekend availability is required, and a positive attitude helps guests feel they are at home.

Responsibilities

• Take accurate orders and partner with team members to serve food and beverages that meet or exceed guests' expectations.
• Enter all items served to guests at our Point of Sale (POS).
• Provide friendly and attentive service that makes guests feel well taken care of and encourages return visits.
• Handle guest payments, provide accurate checks, and complete transactions.
• Address guest concerns by listening, informing a manager, and resolving issues.

Position: Server - Weekend availability required

Reports to: General Manager

We are seeking hardworking, enthusiastic, and professional people to join our team. Our Servers know our menus inside and out. Servers must take pride in providing attentive, friendly, and sanitary service. We want every Guest to feel like family and create a positive experience to keep them coming back!

We serve high-quality food and great drinks in a fun atmosphere! If you are willing to learn, we will teach you! Our Management Team is hands‑on and always willing to lend a hand or teach our team something new; Most importantly, they will support you in ensuring all points of service are completed throughout the Guest's dining experience.

Key Performance Elements/Essential Functions

Hospitality to our Guests

• Understands our culture and takes whatever necessary steps to create a positive and memorable guest experience.
• Guiding guests through menus while demonstrating a thorough knowledge of the food, beverages, and ingredients
• Provides food recommendations to guests and addresses all menu and service‑related inquiries.

Taking accurate orders and partnering with team members to serve food and beverages that meet or exceed guests' expectations.

• Follows company policy in handling guest allergies/intolerances, ensuring guests receive "safe" meals.
• Properly enters all items served to guests at our Point of Sale (POS)
• Providing friendly and attentive service that makes guests feel well taken care of and builds their intent to return.
• Provides accurate checks to guests, accepts payments, and completes all appropriate transactions.
• Handles guests' complaints by listening to their concerns, informing a manager promptly, and resolving issues to ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return to the restaurant again.

Hospitality to your Team

Arrives to work on time as scheduled, well‑groomed in the proper work attire, and ready to work.

• Clocks in and out as scheduled.
• Demonstrates a helpful and positive attitude at all times towards guests and team members.
• Completes all assigned tasks and duties assigned by managers/supervisors.
• Follow proper cash‑out/check‑out procedures before leaving at the end of a shift.
• Assists fellow team members as needed to ensure our guests receive the highest standard of food, beverage, and hospitality.

Hospitality to Restaurant

• Inspects restrooms, dining room, and wait area, cleans as needed, and reports any unsafe conditions to maintain safety and sanitation standards.
• Assists in tasks to ensure a clean, sanitized, and safe environment in the restaurant.

Minimum Requirements

• Ability to work in a high‑volume, fast‑paced work environment.
• Capable of prioritizing tasks effectively.
• Able to speak to the restaurant's story and mission statement.
• Passion for hospitality, providing exceptional service, and creating memorable dining experiences.
