Job summary

Ascension Coffee in the United States is seeking a friendly server to enhance the guest experience. You will greet guests, take drink and food orders, ensure accuracy, and coordinate with baristas and kitchen staff to deliver timely service.

Extensive training is provided, and strong customer service skills are essential. One year of high-volume server experience is preferred; familiarity with a POS system is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests with genuine hospitality.
• Take guests' drink and food orders.
• Ensure orders are accurate and brought to tables promptly.
• Suggest drinks, appetizers and meals based on the menu and coffee.
• Work with management to address customer concerns and ensure a pleasant dining experience.
• Coordinate with baristas, chefs and bartenders for clarifications.
• Assist with setting and rearranging tables for larger parties.
• Maintain standing/walking for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
• Provide strong customer service and POS familiarity.
• Extensive training provided.

About the role

• Servers play a pivotal role in the guest experience at Ascension Coffee, providing genuine hospitable service in a warm environment.

What you'll do

• Greet all guests with genuine hospitality
• Take guest's drink and food orders
• Ensure that all orders are accurate and brought to each table in a timely manner
• Suggest different drinks, appetizers and meals to customers based on the menu and coffee
• Work closely with restaurant management to immediately address all customer concerns and create a pleasant dining experience
• Confirm orders with the baristas, chefs and bartenders whenever a clarification is requested
• Assist with setting and rearranging tables to accommodate larger parties
• Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
• Strong customer service skills required
• Ability to utilize a restaurant POS software platform a plus
• Extensive training provided
