About the role

The Barista is a vital member of the café team, responsible for delivering exceptional coffee experiences. They are expected to develop and refine their barista skills, including espresso preparation, latte art, and proper brewing techniques, while continuously expanding their coffee knowledge. Baristas uphold Ascension Coffee’s standards by ensuring consistency and quality in every cup. This is an hourly position

What you’ll do

• Skillfully prepare specialty coffee, tea, and liquor beverages to Ascension standards.
• Deliver exceptional hospitality, ensuring the highest level of guest service.
• Maintain and troubleshoot coffee equipment, resolving basic issues.
• Continuously expand knowledge in specialty coffee, tea, alcohol, and hospitality.
• Receive and apply feedback effectively, demonstrating adaptability.
• Build strong interpersonal connections with team members of all skill levels.
• Communicate clearly and effectively to inspire and align teams.
• Foster an inclusive, high-quality café culture through thoughtful interactions.
