Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Server/Storage Technician to implement, test, and support server technologies, monitor requests, and escalate issues to server engineers as needed. You will collaborate with project teams to provide consultative services on data transport solutions.

Responsibilities include daily server/storage activities, on-call support, backups and disaster recovery tasks, security updates, and documentation.

Qualifications

Associate's degree in Information Systems, Business, Engineering or related field or equivalent job experience.
Two years of network or server build/support experience in an enterprise environment.
Good communication and excellent customer service.
Basic knowledge of data center hardware/software and industry best practices.
Knowledge of enterprise server/storage solutions including email, software distribution, backup, remote access.
Working knowledge of endpoint hardware and software.

Responsibilities

Implement, test, and support server technologies, processes, and procedures.
Monitor and respond to customer requests via internal ticketing system.
Escalate issues to server engineers as necessary and collaborate with them.
Assist with project teams to provide consultative services on server/storage solutions.
Perform on-call duties as required.
Handle daily server/storage activities including monitoring, maintenance, planning, documentation.
Research and resolve or escalate issues with server/storage platforms.
Ensure security policies are followed and assist with patch management.
Create and maintain technical documentation.
Report and document activities accurately.
