Job summary

Forefront Healthcare is seeking a dedicated dining services assistant to help set up dining areas and trays for meal services in a healthcare setting, ensuring adherence to safety guidelines and resident dietary needs.

You will assist the cook/supervisor with food preparation, deliver meal carts, set and clean dining areas, and record refrigerator temperatures while maintaining strict sanitation and policy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Set up dining area and trays for meal services.
• Adhere to food safety guidelines and follow dietary restrictions based on residents’ needs.
• Assist cook/supervisor with food preparation and service using specific procedures, following guidelines and regulations.
• Deliver residents’ meal carts, and set and clean assigned dining area(s) to serve residents.
• Accurately recording temperatures on refrigerators; clean and stock as needed.
• Wash and store dishes; adhering to overall sanitation and maintenance of the kitchen.
• Attend department meetings as required.
• Demonstrates accountability to accept responsibility for personal/professional growth and any required certifications/licenses, if applicable.
• Completes mandatory training and competencies annually.

Pay range: $17-$22

You will be responsible for setting up the dining area and trays for meal services, adhering to food safety guidelines, and following dietary restrictions based on residents’ needs.

• Responsible for assisting cook/supervisor with food preparation and service using specific procedures, following guidelines, and regulations.
• Responsible for delivering residents’ meal carts, and setting and cleaning assigned dining area(s) to serve residents.
• Accurately recording temperatures on refrigerators; clean and stock as needed.
• Wash and store dishes; adhering to overall sanitation and maintenance of the kitchen.
• Knowledgeable of Federal, State, and Community rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Responsible for acting in conformance with all facility and departmental policies and procedures including those relating to Human Resources, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, Health and Safety regulations, Compliance requirements, Patient Rights, Confidentiality, and HIPAA. Responsible for acting in conformance with accrediting agency standards.
• Attends department meetings as required.
• Demonstrates accountability to accept responsibility for personal/professional growth and any required certifications/licenses, if applicable.
• Completes mandatory training and competencies annually.

This is an hourly position, expected hours include days, evenings, some weekends, and some holidays.
