Job summary

Forefront is seeking a Supervisor Resident Experience to lead our culinary team in a healthcare environment. You’ll mentor staff, ensure safe food handling, and deliver resident-centered service in a supportive culture.

Candidates with strong food/culinary background and proven leadership will help create a resident-directed environment, plan events, and maintain quality standards across dining and activities for our community.

Qualifications

  • Verbal and writing abilities necessary to communicate with staff, residents, and families.
  • Motor coordination and dexterity required to prepare food and operate equipment.
  • Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with interruptions.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow recipe directions and diet orders.
  • Identify resident needs and support a resident-directed service culture.
  • Assist training staff on service recovery and resident experience initiatives.
  • Educate associates on creating a safe, healthy work environment.
  • Plan learning circles focused on residents’ experience.
  • Involve residents in experience decisions and seek solutions.
  • Be the first contact for questions, concerns, emergencies; coordinate with responders.

Forefront Healthcare is looking for a passionate leader to join our team! We have an exciting opportunity for a Supervisor Resident Experience. We are looking for a strong food/culinary background who has proven leadership with teams.

  • Supports the culinary team in creating a culture that is resident-directed, focused on identifying and highlighting resident needs, creating an environment that promotes exceptional service, and allowing opportunities for being well‑known and belonging in the community.
  • Speaks often of residents to identify likes and dislikes. Supports service recovery plans when needed and trains the staff on required learnings.
  • Supports educating all associates on creating an environment where partnership and cooperation create a safe, healthy work environment.
  • Suggest topics and lead learning circles focused on the residents’ experience.
  • Involves residents in all resident experience decisions and asks residents for solutions to any issues the community encounters.
  • Supports residents and guests with questions, concerns, and emergencies; may be the first point of contact for emergency responders and/or regulatory agencies.
  • Supports a monthly newsletter/calendar of events and activities.
  • Plan and implement special seasonal events to celebrate resident birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays.
  • Adheres to standards for dining room and special event services.
  • Build relationships and market programs.
  • Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures.
  • Prepare food in accordance with standard recipes and special requests.
  • Responsible for acting in conformance with all facility and departmental policies and procedures including those relating to Human Resources, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, Health and Safety regulations, Compliance requirements, Patient Rights, Confidentiality, and HIPAA. Responsible for acting in conformance with accrediting agency standards.
  • Attends department meetings as required.
  • Demonstrates accountability to accept responsibility for personal/professional growth and any required certification/licenses, if applicable.
  • Completes mandatory training and competencies annually.

This is an hourly position, with expected hours to include: Days, evenings, some weekends, and some holidays. A schedule will be provided, and the associate will use appropriate timekeeping methods to document hours worked.
