Job summary

MorningStar of Albuquerque is seeking a Dining Room Server to provide high-quality meal service in our senior living community. You will communicate orders clearly, relay them to kitchen staff, and deliver a gracious dining experience to residents.

This part-time role requires weekend availability and a pay rate of $16.00 per hour or higher. You will help maintain cleanliness, support special events, and uphold our core values of Love, Kindness, Honesty, and Respect.

Responsibilities

• Be present in dining room for full meal service.
• Assist special functions as scheduled.

• Oversee bistro areas: presentation, stock, beverages.
• Know daily specials and how they are prepared.
• Learn residents' names and dietary needs.
• Serve hot food hot and cold food cold.
• Participate in Quality Assurance Committee as directed.
• Sanitize and reset tables, vacuum after meals.
• Attend trainings, orientation, and mandatory meetings.

• Experience in dietary dept of health care or restaurant preferred but not required.

• Part Time - Variable days and shifts (Must work weekends)

JOB SUMMARY

Provide service of high-quality meals and facilitation of a gracious environment. This entails; accurate communication and order taking, properly relaying meal orders to back of the house staff. Offer exceptional customer service, as part of all interactions with our cherished residents.

POSITIONOVERVIEW

• Be present in dining room for full meal service.
• Assist special functions as scheduled.
• Maintain high cleanliness, hygiene, and a sanitary and infection free environment at all times.
• Oversight of bistro areas as directed – food presentation, cleanliness, stock supplies, beverages, make popcorn, etc.
• Know the specials of the day and how they are prepared and presented.
• Learn individual resident names, dietary needs, requests, likes and dislikes.
• Must serve hot food hot and cold food cold.
• As directed, participate in the Quality Assurance Committee.
• Sanitize tables and chairs, reset tables, and vacuum floor after each meal.
• Attend all trainings, orientation, and mandatory meetings.
• Demonstration of our Core Values: Love, Kindness, Honesty, Goodness, Fairness, Respect.
• Experience: Previous experience in the dietary department of a health care facility or restaurant preferred but not required.
• Job Knowledge: Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Standards: Knowledge of and ability to meet regulations of ADA, state, infection and control, health department, and OSHA.
