Desert Mountain Club in North Scottsdale, AZ, is seeking a Server for the Food & Beverage team for the 2026-2027 season. The position offers a flat-dollar wage starting at $23 per hour, with annual merit increases and a defined career ladder based on performance.

Responsibilities

• Present menus, suggest dishes and beverage pairings with friendly, knowledgeable service.
• Greet guests, take orders, upsell items and manage the dining experience from start to finish.
• Know menu items, cocktails, beer, wine and food pairings for guest recommendations.
• Communicate guest preferences and dietary restrictions to the kitchen and service team.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and professional appearance in dining areas.
• Coordinate with team to ensure timely service and smooth operation.
• Provide accurate checks, process payments, and assist with any guest needs.
• Support other servers and staff as needed to ensure seamless service.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and club policies at all times.

Join the Food & Beverage team at Desert Mountain Club, one of the largest and most beautiful private country clubs in North America, as a Server!

Season: October 2026 – May 2027

Desert Mountain Club offers a higher, flat-dollar wage structure for all hourly Food & Beverage positions, replacing the previous gratuity-based wage structure. Servers start at $23 per hour or more, depending on experience. This guaranteed year-round wage is based on hours worked and does not fluctuate based on business levels or seasonality. Team members also have opportunities to increase their pay and advance their careers through annual merit increases and our career ladder, with multiple levels within each position based on performance, skills, and knowledge (e.g., Server 1, Server 2, etc.).

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering a memorable guest experience by providing exceptional service and curating the dining experience. This includes maintaining a strong knowledge and understanding of menu items and pairings and tailoring the food and beverage experience to their tastes, executing service from greeting the table to providing the check, all in a team setting.

The ideal candidate will be a team player with a great attitude and strong work ethic. Prior serving experience in a full‑service restaurant is required. Prior high‑end club or resort experience preferred.

JOB DETAILS

Responsibilities:

• Present menus, suggest dishes utilizing suggestive selling techniques, and assist in beverage selection and service.
• Communicate specific customer preferences, dietary restrictions, and modifications to the culinary team.
• Maintain knowledge of all food and beverage menu items to include cocktails, beer, and wine.
• Maintain a high-level dining experience with the mindset that we’re a family serving family.
• Utilize name recognition and personalized service in order to maintain raving fans.
• Practice three steps of service – warm welcome, friendly service, and fond farewell.
• Communicate and answer questions regarding restaurant and club events, mountain wide in a professional and courteous manner. Direct feedback, questions, and comments to appropriate manager or department.
• Maintain clean service areas, professional appearance of all clubhouse facilities.
• Proactively assist other team members and fellow servers, as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

• Required to be on feet for long periods of time.
• Required to work, days, nights, weekends and holidays.
