Job summary

Sea Captain’s House, a Brittain Resorts & Hotels property in Myrtle Beach, seeks experienced servers to deliver memorable dining experiences in a high-volume, oceanfront setting. You will take orders, serve food and beverages, attend to tables, and ensure guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Server (1 YEAR)

Responsibilities

• Contribute to customer satisfaction by serving food and beverages quickly and politely
• Perform opening, mid-shift, and closing side work for smooth transitions
• Suggest and upsell beverages and menu items
• Learn the Restaurant Manager POS to ring up orders and process bills
• Follow state laws and company policies for beverage service
• Handle difficult situations effectively
• Keep supervisor informed of any issues or guest concerns
• Be knowledgeable about the property and local information to respond to guest questions
• Assist with table turn-around and may help other team members
• Other duties as assigned

What will you be doing?

Sea Captain’s House has been a favorite of the Grand Strand for over 60 years. We are a high-volume, fast-paced, award-winning, oceanfront restaurant that is looking for experienced Servers to join our team! As a Server, you will create a memorable experience for our guests by providing excellent customer service and promptly responding to guest requests, serving menu items, attending to assigned tables, and other related duties.

Responsibilities

Server responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

• Contribute to customer satisfaction by accurately serving customers their food and beverage orders in a quick and courteous manner
• Perform opening, mid-shift, closing side work to ensure seamless transitions between shifts
• Suggest and up-sells appropriate beverage, cocktail and food items
• Acquire a working knowledge of Restaurant Manager POS System in order to ring up orders and process bills
• Understand and follows all state laws and company policies for beverage service
• Handle difficult situations effectively
• Keep supervisor and host fully informed of all problems, customer dissatisfaction and/or unusual matters of significance
• Acquire a working knowledge of property, in-house facilities and local information to respond to customer questions in these areas as required
• Provide prompt customer turn-around by assisting with clearing and setting of tables
• Be willing to assist other team members
• Other duties as assigned
