Job summary

Eataly North America is seeking seasonal servers in Santa Clara, CA. The role involves greeting guests, presenting menus, taking and relaying orders using a POS system, and coordinating with front- and back-of-house staff to ensure a high-quality dining experience.

Seasonal opportunity with potential for long-term growth. Pay is $18.70 per hour plus tips, onsite work with a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greets guests and presents them with the menu.
• Informs guests of specials, menu changes, answers questions regarding food, beverages and allergies.
• Receives orders from guests and relays to kitchen staff and bartender using a POS system.
• Coordinates stations with hosts, table support and kitchen staff.
• Presents, opens and pours wine and beer when serving guests.
• Assists with stocking work stations and clearing used dishes.

A Server coordinates the entire service station and communicates with front of the house and back of the house personnel to provide a dining experience that exceeds guest expectations. Reports to the Restaurant Manager.

• Greets guests and presents them with the menu
• Informs guests of specials, menu changes, answers questions regarding food, beverages and allergies
• Receives food and beverage orders from guests and relays to kitchen staff and bartender using a POS system
• Communicates with the hosts, table support team, kitchen staff and bartenders to coordinate stations
• Presents, opens and pours wine and beer when serving guests
• Assists table support team with stocking work stations, removing and resetting used dishes/silverware
• Assists with cash register at counter-service restaurants
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

Job Requirements

• Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
