Columbia Hospitality, Inc. at Hotel Interurban in the Seattle area is seeking a Part-Time Server to help create memorable dining experiences with stunning Mount Rainier views. You will take orders, serve food and drinks, and ensure guests feel genuinely welcome in a values-driven team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as server in a similar restaurant environment.
• Ability to operate the Point of Sale system.
• Working knowledge of dining and beverage service procedures.
• Working knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations.
• State Food Handler’s License and Liquor Serving Permit are required.

Responsibilities

• Takes orders and serves food and beverages to guests according to standards.
• Enters orders into the POS and communicates requests to the kitchen.
• Assembles food items and ensures presentation and proper temperature.
• Maintains knowledge of menu items and changes.
• Processes guest payments using proper cash handling procedures.
• Keeps dining area clean and organized.

What Success Looks Like:

Your Impact

• Takes orders and serves food and beverage items to guests in accordance with established standards
• Enters orders into computerized Point of Sale system and communicates any special requests to the culinary team
• Assembles food items, such as appetizers, salads and soups
• Ensures attractive, consistent presentation of food and beverages. Ensures that all food and beverage items are served at the correct temperature
• Maintains current knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including menu changes and sold‑out items
• Processes guest payments, using proper accounting and cash handling procedures
• Keeps work area, including guest dining area, clean and organized

What You Bring

• Previous experience as server in a similar restaurant environment
• Ability to perform essential functions on the computerized Point of Sale system
• Working knowledge of dining and beverage service procedures
• Working knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations
• Necessary State Food Handler’s License(s) and Liquor Serving Permit(s)
