Job summary

True Connection Communities in Williamsburg, VA is seeking a Part-Time Server in a senior living community. You will greet residents, take orders, relay to kitchen staff, and ensure timely service and delivery of meals with courteous, attentive service.

The role emphasizes guest interaction, accuracy in orders, and teamwork in a hospitality-focused environment. Training and a supportive benefits package are provided to eligible staff.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous food service experience preferred.
• Excellent listening skills and detail oriented.
• Able to ask appropriate questions to deliver the best service possible.
• Experience in a hospitality, healthcare or service environment is preferred.
• Ability to lift and/or move objects up to 40 pounds.

Job Purpose

The Server role is the most important role in delivering best in class dining experience, as they are the first and last contact with Residents and have the ability to resolve any service issues as they arise. A Server’s responsibility is attending to diners before, during and after their meals by helping them place and receive their orders. They also ensure the timely delivery of food and beverages by checking on their tables periodically throughout the service period.

Working Conditions

The Server works in a dining room and spends most of their shift on their feet. They carry trays of food, dishes, or glassware, which are often heavy. During busy dining periods, the server position are under pressure to serve customers quickly and efficiently.
