Job summary

Montage Pendry Washington, DC is seeking a Server for a part-time role. You will assist guests with menu selections, take orders, and ensure guest satisfaction while maintaining a polished dining environment. The position emphasizes teamwork, guest engagement, and a commitment to high service standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Experience in food and beverage operations is required; luxury hotel experience is a plus.
• Ability to collaborate in a team environment and communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.
• Prior micros or other restaurant systems experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests with menu selections, provide recommendations and answer questions about ingredients, preparation methods, and dietary restrictions.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and ensure special requests are communicated to the kitchen.
• Anticipate guest needs, refill drinks, clear plates, and offer dessert or coffee options.
• Promote menu items, specials, and promotions to guests to enhance their dining experience.
• Adhere to cleaning and safety standards and attend daily pre-shift meetings.

Your Journey

En sure food and beverages are being served in a professional and timely manner

Assist guests with menu selections, providing recommendations and answering questions about ingredients, preparation methods, and dietary restrictions.

Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring special requests or modifications are recorded and communicated to the kitchen staff.

Anticipate guest needs throughout the meal service, such as refilling drinks, clearing empty plates, and offering dessert or coffee options.

Check in with guests periodically to ensure satisfaction with their meals and address any concerns or issues promptly.

Promote menu items, specials, and promotions to guests, using suggestive selling techniques to increase sales and enhance the dining experience.

Adhere to all cleaning and safety standards

Attend daily pre-shift meeting

Consistently follow the f ood & b vereage sequence of service with the utmost attention to detail

Deliver on guests' expectations and have the desire to create WOW moments

Perform additional duties as assigned that may be outside of the normal scope of duties, based on business needs

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and exercise mobility for extended periods of time during your scheduled shift
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and for extended periods during the shift
• Ability to push and pull food serving equipment and carts weighing up to 200 pounds on a semi - regular basis

The pay scale for the Server Part-Time position is $12.00 per hour. The pay scale is the base salary or hourly wage range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and the like, that Montage reasonably expects to pay for the position.
