Job summary

Montage International is seeking an attentive Server to provide exceptional food and beverage service in a luxury setting. You will greet guests, take orders, and help guests with menu selections and dietary needs, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

Collaborate with a team to maintain high service standards, anticipate guest needs, and promote menu items. Adhere to safety, cleanliness, and service sequence protocols while delivering WOW moments for guests.

Qualifications

• One year minimum of experience in food & beverage operations.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Prior micros or other systems experience is a plus.
• Luxury hotel experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food and beverages are served in a professional and timely manner.
• Assist guests with menu selections and dietary questions.
• Take orders accurately and communicate modifications to the kitchen.
• Anticipate guest needs and upsell menu items when appropriate.

Your Journey

• En sure food and beverages are being served in a professional and timely manner
• Assist guests with menu selections, providing recommendations and answering questions about ingredients, preparation methods, and dietary restrictions.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring special requests or modifications are recorded and communicated to the kitchen staff.
• Anticipate guest needs throughout the meal service, such as refilling drinks, clearing empty plates, and offering dessert or coffee options.
• Check in with guests periodically to ensure satisfaction with their meals and address any concerns or issues promptly.
• Promote menu items, specials, and promotions to guests, using suggestive selling techniques to increase sales and enhance the dining experience.
• Adhere to all cleaning and safety standards
• Attend daily pre-shift meeting
• Consistently follow the f ood & b everage sequence of service with the utmost attention to detail
• Deliver on guests' expectations and have the desire to create WOW moments
• Perform additional duties as assigned that may be outside of the normal scope of duties, based on business needs

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and exercise mobility for extended periods of time during your scheduled shift
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and for extended periods during the shift
• Ability to push and pull food serving equipment and carts weighing up to 200 pounds on a semi - regular basis

The pay scale for the Server position is $9.50 per hour. This pay scale reflects the base hourly wage and does not include incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, or similar forms of compensation that Montage may reasonably expect to pay for the position.
