Job summary

Cosm is seeking a server to deliver best-in-class food and beverage service to fans in a fast-paced hospitality setting. You will explain menus, engage guests, and ensure accurate order entry and timely service.

Applicants should have prior serving experience, strong communication and English skills, and possess a valid food handlers card and alcohol certification. This on-site role requires a flexible schedule, including late hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prepares section so that it is ready at scheduled time.
• Is knowledgeable of all food and beverage menus, specials, seasonal beers and drinks.
• Follows Pillars of Service for each guest as trained.
• Enters all orders into the POS with accuracy and speed.
• Engages guests and teammates with a positive, friendly attitude.
• Maintains safety and follows alcohol service policies.
• Rotates and stocks coolers and displays; supports team members as needed.
• Displays professional behavior and supports a fast-paced environment.

Summary:

A server at Cosm ensures the highest level of hospitality is delivered to their fans at all times by providing best-in-class food and beverage service, friendly interactions with both fans and fellow team members, and a positive attitude at all times.

In this role you must be passionate about the food and beverage industry and execute a Cosmworthy experience, while creating a memorable experience for our guests.

Responsibilities:

Applicant must be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. The individual must also follow all appropriate Cosm policies and procedures outlined in the training manuals and employee handbook.

• Prepares section so that it is ready at scheduled time.
• Is knowledgeable of all food and beverage menus, specials, seasonal beers and drinks.
• Follows all Cosm’s Pillar’s of Service for each fan as outlined in the training materials.
• Accurately and timely enters all food and beverage orders into the POS with minimal errors.
• Focuses on a one-team approach by helping other team members to ensure fan satisfaction.
• Follows all company accounting policies and procedures regarding credit card and gift card transactions.
• Follows all company accounting policies and procedures regarding discounts, promos and team member meals.
• Engages fans, coworkers, and managers with a positive, friendly, professional approach during all interactions.
• Ensures each Cosm fan is taken care of upon entering the building to leaving the building.
• Is knowledgeable of the Company’s products, services, current promotions, and recurring events.
• Willingly, and with positive attitude, follows direction of all supervisors, including additional requests for side work, cleaning, etc...
• Follows State Liquor laws and Company policies regarding the service of any alcoholic beverage and enforcement of ordinances and laws.
• Attends all on-going food, bar, or service trainings, when scheduled.
• Complies with, and supports, all policies set forth by the Cosm employee handbook and training manuals.
• Keeps china/glass breakage to a minimum.
• Rotates and stocks all coolers with the proper products and amounts required.
• Must be able to work a variety of shifts, based on the need volume of the operation (late hours, holidays, weekend, etc.)
• Must consistently be friendly and outgoing toward fans, management, and fellow team members.
• Must work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Must work well under pressure.
• Demonstrates good time management skills and communication skills.
• Follows Company and state safety guidelines to provide a safe working environment.

Experience:

• Previous serving experience required, preferably in a fast-paced full-service establishment.
• Excellent communication and professional interpersonal skills required.
• Must be fluent in English and able to write in basic English.
• Food handlers’ card and state recognized responsible alcohol certification.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in accordance with local and state laws.
• Must be able to continuously stand, walk and lift up to 10 pounds.
• Must be able to frequently bend, squat, reach overhead, and lift up to 20 pounds.
• Will be occasionally kneeling and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Will seldom be sitting, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting over 50 pounds.
