Job summary

Brookdale Senior Living is seeking a part-time Dining Attendant to support meal service at our community in Shawnee, Kansas. The role offers 20-25 hours per week with weekend shifts and some evenings.

Responsibilities include preparing the dining room, serving meals, clearing tables, maintaining sanitation, assisting with prep and closing duties, and upholding safety procedures. Minimum age 15; prior hospitality experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old.
• Experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred but not required.

Position Responsibilities (Include, but not limited to)

• Prepare the dining room for meal service, including table setup and stocking service areas

• Serve meals, beverages, and desserts to residents in a timely and courteous manner

• Clear and reset tables during and after meal service

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining and service areas

• Assist with meal service preparation and closing duties

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures

• Foster positive relationships with residents and team members

• Ensure resident satisfaction by responding promptly to requests and concerns

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 15 years old
• Previous customer service, hospitality, or food service experience preferred, but not required

Compensation and Benefits

Starting pay: $15.00 per hour (Base pay in range will be determined by applicant's skills and experience)
