Job summary

Vista Senior Living Management is seeking a part-time Server for Sugar Grove. Shifts are 2 PM to 7 PM, Monday through Friday, with every other weekend and holidays. Experience in senior care is preferred, and hospitality skills are important for resident satisfaction.

The role involves taking orders, delivering meals, assisting in dining services, and maintaining a safe, clean environment in accordance with health guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Takes food orders, presents to kitchen staff, and delivers meals to residents and guests.

• Respond quickly to requests from residents or guests.
• Report concerns to Dining Services Manager; assist in bussing and resetting tables.

Main responsibilities:

• Takes food order, presents to kitchen staff and delivers meal to residents and guests in a proper and timely manner
• Ensures resident guest satisfaction.
• Responds quickly to resident or guest requests.
• Reports any resident comments or concerns to Dining Services Manager immediately. Assists in bussing and resetting tables
• Assists in room services as needed.
• Completes all side work as assigned.
• Complies with all state and county health codes for food handling.
• Attends all in-services training and pre-shift meetings.
• Handles china, glassware and equipment safely and quietly to minimize breakage.
• Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
• Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Preferably has experience in senior care
• Ability to read and write at a level appropriate for the job.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members and facility staff.
• Knowledge of infection control techniques.
• Ability to be patient and polite
