Job summary

Loews Nashville Hotel is seeking a Restaurant Bar Server who creates exceptional guest experiences. You will take orders, serve food and beverages, and provide personalized recommendations in a warm, vibrant environment.

You will collaborate with bartenders and team members to ensure smooth operations, uphold high standards, and handle payments efficiently while adapting to a fast-paced setting on site in Nashville.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a food and beverage setting required; knowledge of alcohol and service techniques preferred.
  • Strong guest engagement and service etiquette to deliver memorable dining experiences.
  • Basic computer proficiency for order entry and processing.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests, present menus, and offer personalized food and drink recommendations.
  • Take accurate orders and communicate dietary needs to kitchen or bar.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly with high presentation standards.
  • Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and address needs.
  • Refill drinks and anticipate guest requirements for a seamless experience.
  • Maintain knowledge of menu, specials, and pairings.
  • Process payments accurately and efficiently; handle cash and cards.
  • Collaborate with bartenders and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Set up/break down bar and dining areas; restock and organize supplies.
  • Keep tables and seating areas clean; respond professionally to feedback.
  • Attend mandatory training and be flexible with schedules.

A Restaurant Bar Server who is passionate about creating exceptional guest experiences. In this role, you'll take orders, serve food and beverages, and foster a warm, vibrant atmosphere that makes every guest feel welcome. Your in-depth knowledge of menu offerings, beverages, and cocktails allows you to elevate the dining experience through personalized recommendations and confident service. Working closely with bartenders and team members, you'll ensure seamless operations and play a key role in delivering memorable moments for every guest.

What You'll Do:

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the menu, including specials, pairings, and preparation methods.
  • Answer guest inquiries about food, beverages, and cocktails with confidence and professionalism.
  • Process payments accurately and efficiently, handling both cash and card transactions.
  • Collaborate with bartenders, kitchen staff, and team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Set up and break down bar and dining areas, restocking and organizing supplies as needed.
  • Keep tables, seating areas, and menus clean and tidy throughout service.
  • Respond to guest feedback or concerns promptly and professionally to ensure a positive experience.
  • Assist in resetting the dining area for the next service to maintain a welcoming environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Regular attendance in conformance with standards.
  • May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs.
  • Required to attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings.

Your Qualifications Include :
  • Previous experience in a food and beverage setting is required, knowledge of alcoholic beverages and service techniques highly, preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.
  • Strong understanding of menu offerings, service etiquette, and guest engagement to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
  • Excellent guest service skills with a focus on creating personalized and memorable interactions.
  • Basic proficiency with computer systems for order entry and processing.
  • Physical ability to stand, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
