Job summary

UST is seeking a Server Lab Technician to join the platform bring-up and debug team in Redmond, WA. The role involves hands-on hardware assembly, system bring-up, and firmware/OS configuration across Linux, Windows, and VMware.

Responsibilities include BIOS/CPLD/BMC flashing, IP configuration, root cause analysis, and documenting results while collaborating with firmware, hardware, and systems teams. Mentoring is part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of data center server lab/validation & debugging experience.
• Hands-on hardware assembly, server bring-up, and OS/configuration experience.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, configure, and test server hardware for bring-up.
• Install Linux, Windows, and VMware and drivers.
• Perform BIOS, CPLD, firmware, BMC flashing and updates.
• Debug platform issues with cross-functional teams and document findings.
• Train and mentor new engineers on debug procedures and platform setup.
