Job summary

Spencer’s Spirit in New Jersey is seeking a Server Administrator II to support the stability and ongoing improvement of our IT infrastructure. You will manage servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud platforms, ensuring reliable services for our stores and corporate teams.

The role requires 3–5 years of IT experience, collaboration skills, and the ability to work on 24/7 on-call shifts. A bachelor’s degree is required and intranet security practices are emphasized.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years IT experience with server, virtualization, storage, or cloud in a distributed environment.
• Retail experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure services (DNS, DHCP, FTP, SMTP, RDS, SSH, certificates, ADFS, DFS) and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Proven ability to meet performance targets and deliver reliable infrastructure services.
• Ability to work with 24/7 on-call rotations and document configurations accurately.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain Spencer’s server infrastructure by applying operational, security, and architecture standards.
• Monitor health, performance, capacity, and reliability of servers and services.
• Coordinate application-infrastructure activities across Windows and Linux servers, AD, DNS, DHCP, patching, and virtualization.
• Collaborate with project teams to validate readiness and transition new infrastructure into production.
• Investigate alerts, resolve incidents, and participate in after-hours on-call rotation.
• Assist with PCI, internal, and external audits by providing evidence and remediation actions.
