UPMC Altoona has immediate openings for Host Diet Clerks in our Nutrition Services department. We are seeking friendly individuals to provide excellent experiences to our patients. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available with varied dayshift schedules. Availability to work rotating weekends and holidays is required.

Responsibilities include:

• Visiting patients after tray delivery to ensure satisfaction, obtaining missing items, and making substitutions as needed following diet restrictions.
• Prompt and courteous telephone communication.
• Delivering trays at mealtimes in assigned areas, verifying patient identifiers before delivery.
• Greeting patients warmly, addressing them professionally, and respecting privacy.
• Assisting patients with menu selections and entering choices into Hospitality Suite.
• Picking up trays after meals, cleaning fluid containers, and managing tray carts.
• Recording intake and output as appropriate, including calorie counts.

Minimum requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Customer service experience.
• Outgoing personality with the ability to interact positively with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Proficiency with current technology and computer skills.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

• Act 34 clearance.
