Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities is hiring a full-time server for our community restaurant. You will help create a welcoming dining experience, build relationships with residents, and deliver guest service with a smile.

Your duties include guiding residents to tables, taking orders with the POS system, and performing opening/closing dining room tasks. We value compassion, excellent service, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• A warm, friendly demeanor with residents.
• Knowledge of basic food safety guidelines (Food Handler’s Card).
• Excellent customer service and presentation.

Job Description

Schedule: Full-Time. Days and Hours Vary. Evenings, Weekends, and Holidays may be required.

As a Server in our community restaurant, YOU help create an incredible dining experience, build relationships with residents, and consistently deliver the service a guest would expect in their favorite restaurant. Their satisfaction starts with YOU!

In this position, your main responsibilities will include:

• Direct residents to their tables, present menus, suggest dishes, and assist in drink selection
• Communicate specific resident orders, utilizing our state-of-the-art point-of-sale system
• Complete all dining room opening and closing duties as established by your community

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, we believe that you need the following experiences, strengths, and skills:

• A big smile, eagerness to learn, and compassion for our residents
• If under the age of 18, must provide proper schoolwork authorization (if applicable)
• Must currently hold a Food Handler’s Card, or be willing to obtain one facilitated by Spectrum, as required by state and/or county regulations
• Must have strong customer service presentation
