Job summary

Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital in East Honolulu, HI is seeking a Server in the Food Service department to provide customer service, take orders, and prepare food in a fast-paced setting.

You will report to the Kitchen Manager and work within the Food Service team to ensure timely, accurate service. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, must be 18 years old to ring the register, and possession of a valid food handling license.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers when within ten feet and four seconds of contact.
• Keeps workstation clean and organized by dusting, wiping, and sweeping area.
• Makes sandwiches by request of customers.
• Tracks food inventory, alert cooks and refill food counter if needed.
• Plates meals for customers, with correct portioning.
• Verifies/balances register till at the beginning and end of shift.
• Accepts/Processes payment from customer in the form of cash, credit, debit, ebt, and check.
• Verifies and processes coupons.
• Maintains register accuracy, knows/ carries out proper register procedures.
• Performs other related duties as needed as assigned by manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (responsibilities include, but are not limited to):

- Air condition while in store, subject to heat when around hot food and chill temperatures if products need to be retrieved from chill
