Job Title:

Kitchens Server/Food Handler

Locations:

Opportunities available in Bronx, Brooklyn, and Manhattan at our Homeless Shelters and City Beet Kitchens.

Salary:

$18.37 per hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serve three meals daily for 50-200 residents, including snacks, with attention to dietary restrictions.
• Shifts are 3 hours each, with flexibility to work 1-3 shifts daily for Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner.
• Maintain food temperatures: hot food hot, cold food cold.
• Supervise meal service.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
• Assist in storage, control, and management of stock according to regulations.
• Ensure sanitation and cleanliness of surfaces and storage containers.
• Support daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning of kitchen and food service areas.

Qualifications:

• NYC Food Handler’s Certificate required.
• Ability to work one weekend day as part of the shift.

All newly hired Project Renewal staff must provide verification of full COVID-19 vaccination.
