Job summary

John Knox Village is seeking personnel to provide dining room and kitchen service for residents. The role includes hosting, setting up the dining area, taking orders, serving meals, and ensuring cleanliness.

Employees work in a kitchen/restaurant environment with supervision from Nutrition Services and Restaurant/Kitchen managers. A 16-year-old+ applicant, HS diploma or GED required, and a Jackson County Food Handler Permit within 15 days.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Must obtain Jackson County Food Handler Permit within 15 days of start date.
• Able to work with a large group of residents/customers.
• Cash handling and cash register operation knowledge preferred.
• Able to work irregular hours and read simple instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up and clean dining areas.
• Relay orders to kitchen and serve food.
• Perform food preparation.
• Adhere to tip reporting policy.
• Observe residents and respond to needs.
• Maintain workplace conduct and safety standards.
