Job summary

Perkins Restaurant & Bakery is seeking a friendly Server to provide efficient, guest-focused service in a welcoming setting. You will follow company policies, maintain standards of service, and ensure guest satisfaction while working as part of a team.

The position emphasizes high guest interaction, accurate cash handling, and a commitment to a clean and organized work environment. Training is provided to develop skills and advance within the company.

Qualifications

• Basic skills such as sanitation, safety, and customer service taught through in-house training.
• Trustworthy; can be relied upon to deal with payment of guest checks and operate cash register
• Must be able to communicate clearly

Responsibilities

• Reports to work well-groomed in clean, proper uniform and practices good personal hygiene.
• Greets all guests in a kind, courteous and respectful way.
• Accounts for proper handling of cash, credit card information, gift cards and related payments.
• Takes verbal drink and meal orders according to guest preference.
• Serves high quality food and checks orders for completeness and accuracy.
• Maintains cleanliness of work station and pantry.
• Performs side work during downtime (rolling silverware, restocking condiments, cleaning areas).
• Executes service cycle and team responsibilities at all times.
• Maintains knowledge of the menu to suggest items to guests.
• Writes guest checks and operates POS per company policies.
• Identifies and resolves system issues to maximize guest satisfaction.
