Job summary

Loews Chicago Hotel is seeking a friendly Restaurant Server to deliver exceptional table service and create a warm dining experience for guests. You will greet guests, take orders, and ensure menu knowledge and presentation are top priorities, contributing to the restaurant’s atmosphere and guest satisfaction.

Qualified applicants have prior hospitality experience, strong communication, and the ability to handle busy service periods while keeping areas clean and organized.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong guest service and communication skills.
• Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 40–50 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and present menus with confidence.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, including dietary preferences.
• Serve food and beverages efficiently while ensuring quality and presentation.
• Check back with guests to ensure satisfaction throughout their visit.
• Process payments accurately using POS systems.
• Maintain thorough menu knowledge to offer recommendations.
• Communicate guest needs to kitchen or bar.
• Keep tables and surrounding areas clean and stocked.
• Assist with opening, closing, and restocking duties.
• Support team members to ensure timely service.
• Address guest concerns professionally and escalate when needed.
• Attend mandatory trainings and meetings; may reflect varying schedules.
