The Essex Resort & Spa in Vermont is seeking a Server to provide prompt, courteous service for guests. The role requires taking orders, coordinating with kitchen, and ensuring timely delivery while upholding wine and beverage knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years restaurant experience required.
• Experience in high-volume environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food, wine, and service standards.
• Excellent communication and guest relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Interact with guests to take drink and food orders.
• Communicate with kitchen for food ordering.
• Ensure prompt delivery of food to the guest's table.
• Have working knowledge of liquor, beer, wine and food; suggest pairings.
• Handle checks and cash according to procedures.
• Ensure cleanliness of restaurant, flatware, glassware, plates.
• Be familiar with property amenities and other restaurants.
• Respond to reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisor/manager.
• Help out in other areas, including seating guests.
