Job summary

The Essex Resort & Spa in Vermont is seeking a server for breakfast and lunch shifts. You will greet guests, take beverage and food orders, coordinate with the kitchen, and ensure timely service while presenting beverage pairings and maintaining service standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years restaurant experience.
• Experience in high-volume service.
• Strong knowledge of food and service.
• Extensive wine knowledge.
• Pleasant personality and excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Interact with guests to take drink and food orders.
• Communicate with kitchen for food orders.
• Ensure prompt delivery of food to the guest's table.
• Have working knowledge of beverages and pairings.
• Handle checks and cash according to procedures.
• Maintain restaurant cleanliness including flatware, glassware, and plates.
• Be familiar with property amenities and other restaurants.
