Job Overview

The Server (Dining Room Care Manager) is responsible for providing dining and table services to residents in accordance with Sunrise Senior Living standards. Responsibilities include serving as a role model in dining service, assisting in training care managers, maintaining dining area standards, supporting special events, and ensuring food safety and sanitation compliance.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Essential Duties

Support daily dining operations, provide training, maintain menu knowledge, assist residents with menu choices, serve meals, ensure cleanliness, and follow safety procedures.

General Dining Service

• Support dining room operations, maintain a positive environment.
• Train new care managers in dining services.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items and assist residents.
• Take orders and serve food and beverages.
• Attend pre-meal briefings and follow food handling policies.

Dining Room Maintenance

• Perform cleanliness inspections and set up tables.
• Maintain cleanliness and decorum standards.

Resident Services

• Document pertinent resident information.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident data.

Food Safety & Sanitation

• Handle food safely, complete cleaning assignments, maintain work areas.

Risk Management & Safety

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, practice safety procedures.

Training & Team Contribution

• Participate in team activities, attend meetings, complete required training.

Core Competencies

Experience & Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
