Job Overview

The Server (Dining Room Care Manager) provides dining and table services to residents according to Sunrise standards. Responsibilities include serving as a role model in dining service, assisting in training care managers, maintaining dining setup, supporting special events, monitoring cleanliness checklists, and managing tabletop inventories. All food and beverage handling must comply with sanitary and regulatory standards.

Essential Duties

• Support daily dining operations, ensuring a safe and positive environment for residents and staff.
• Train new care managers in dining services.
• Know and communicate menu items to residents, assist with selections, and serve food and beverages accordingly.
• Attend pre-meal briefings and follow all food handling policies.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the dining area.

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and maintain cleanliness of the dining room.
• Support decorum and etiquette standards.
• Assist with inventory and setup of tables.
• Document resident information carefully and maintain confidentiality.
• Practice safe food handling and sanitation regularly.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and participate in safety training.
• Contribute to team success through active participation and adherence to Sunrise principles.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience in fine dining or senior living preferred.
• Food Safety Certification required within 90 days.
• CPR and First Aid, ServeSafe certifications, and valid driver’s license if applicable.
