Job summary

The Harrison Group is seeking a Full-Time, Year-Round Server in Ocean City, MD. You will greet guests, take orders, deliver meals, and handle payments while delivering excellent customer service. Prior server experience is preferred and a restaurant training course is required. Must be 16+ (21+ to serve alcohol) and able to stand for long periods.

This position is part of a family-owned hospitality group with multiple properties in the region.

Qualifications

• Must be at least sixteen years old; at least 21 to serve alcohol.
• Previous server experience preferred.
• Must successfully complete restaurant training course.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Well-organized with ability to take and place food and beverage orders accurately.
• Ability to operate point-of-sale systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and seat them; ensure table cleanliness and supplies.
• Distribute menus and present daily specials.
• Answer questions about the menu.
• Take orders and deliver to kitchen.
• Deliver food, drinks, condiments, and requested items to customers.
• Ensure food is prepared correctly and to customers' satisfaction.
• Collect plates and clear tables as meals finish.
• Prepare checks and process payments.
• Assist with other restaurant tasks as needed.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Full-Time, Year-Round Server to join our team.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Greets customers as they are seated at the table; ensures the table is clean and that utensil, napkins, and other needs have been provided.
• Distributes menus and presents the daily specials.
• Answers questions regarding the menu.
• Takes food and beverage orders and delivers them to the kitchen.
• Delivers food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to customers.
• Ensures that food is prepared correctly and to customers satisfaction; returns incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchen.
• Collects plates and clears the table as customers finish their meals.
• Prepares customers checks and collects payments.
• Assists with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education And Experience

• Must be at least sixteen years old (at least 21 years old to serve alcoholic beverages).

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Must be able to lift, balance, and carry trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds.
