Job summary

Compass Group USA is seeking a Server/Busser for KC Zoo & Aquarium, primarily dedicated to GLIMMER, a seasonal pop-up experience. You will provide table service and dining area care for specialty outlets and events, delivering friendly attentiveness to guests and assisting with seating.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking orders on handheld POS, delivering meals, bussing, resetting tables, and supporting the team as needed while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Experience in the service industry and/or related or similar role(s).
• Able to tolerate both high and low business periods.
• ServSafe Alcohol certification may be required.

• Greet guests and assist with seating; provide attentive guest care.
• Enter food & beverage orders from guests using handheld POS devices.
• Deliver orders promptly with accuracy and appealing presentation.
• Bus tables, clear dishes and reset dining areas.

Summary: The Server / Busser provides table service and dining area care for specialty outlets and events at KC Zoo & Aquarium.

This role will be primarily dedicated to GLIMMER - a seasonal pop-up experience at KC Zoo & Aquarium.

• Provide excellent guest service including: greeting guests, assisting with seating, answer menu questions, provide friendly attentive care.
• Order-Taking: Accurately enter food & beverage orders from guests using handheld Point of Sale (POS) devices.
• Food & Beverage Service: Deliver orders promptly, ensuring accuracy, quality, and aesthetically pleasing presentation.
• Bussing Duties: clear used dishes, glassware, trash, sanitize & reset tables/chairs/service areas, maintain clean & organized dining / guest areas.
• Other tasks as needed / requested.
