SUMMARY:

The purpose of this position is to interact with guests and ensure they have a great experience while dining. Servers are responsible for positive interactions while serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner. They should be attentive to guest needs and make them feel welcome, comfortable, and relaxed at all times.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Clean/prepare tables, fill napkin dispensers, refill condiments, wrap silverware.
2. Knowledge of current menu and specials.
3. Direct guests to tables, present menus, suggest dishes, assist in selections, inform guests of menu item details, communicate orders to the kitchen via POS system.
4. Maintain proper dining experience, deliver food/drink, fulfill customer needs, remove dishes, replenish utensils, refill glasses.
5. Prepare final bill, present check, accept payments, return change.
6. Bus/clean table immediately after guests leave.
7. Perform cleaning tasks as needed or directed by the manager.
8. Fill in for absent staff as needed or directed.
9. Greet all guests warmly with an appropriate greeting.
10. Adhere to grooming and appearance standards as described in the Employee Handbook.
11. Apply correct IDing procedures for alcohol consumption/purchase.
12. Assist other servers as needed.
13. Wash dishes as assigned by the manager and during slow periods.
14. Keep restrooms clean and stocked.

Qualifications:

• Ability to communicate clearly.
• Basic knowledge of food presentation, preparation, and handling.
• Basic math skills, ability to handle money and operate POS system.
• Ability to work standing for long periods.
• Safely lift and maneuver trays weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Punctuality and reliable attendance.
