Job summary

Geronimo Hospitality Group in Beloit, WI, is seeking a friendly Server to join our team. You’ll deliver warm, attentive service, explain menu options, and help create memorable guest experiences in a dynamic hospitality setting.

We value hard work, teamwork, and enthusiasm. Eligible applicants should have at least one year of serving experience, strong math skills, and a professional appearance; U.S. work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• One year server experience preferred.
• Basic math skills required, must be able to add, subtract, and count change back to customer.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.

Responsibilities

• Take customers’ food and beverage orders.
• Ensure that all orders are accurate and brought to each table in a timely manner.
• Suggest appetizers and meals to customers based on the menu and specials.
• Work closely with restaurant management to address all customer concerns and create a pleasant dining experience.
• Present a clean and professional appearance at all times.
• Responds to customer inquiries and comments in person and on phone by providing timely and knowledgeable information.

YOUR ROLE IN CREATING GERONIMOMENTS

In this role, you’ll be a key part of our team, ensuring that every guest leaves with a lasting impression. Your voice matters here—use it to build the future, make an impact, and continuously improve the guest experience.

As the Server, you are responsible for effectively serving customers and extending great customer service by providing information to help with food and beverage selections, presenting order choices, and maintaining a great dining experience by promoting a warm and friendly atmosphere.

WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE

• Take customers’ food and beverage orders
• Ensure that all orders are accurate and brought to each table in a timely manner
• Suggest appetizers and meals to customers based on the menu and specials
• Work closely with restaurant management to immediately address all customer concerns and create a pleasant dining experience
• Confirm orders with the chefs and bartenders whenever a clarification is requested
• Assist with setting tables and rearranging tables to accommodate parties
• Detailed knowing and understanding menus and beverage lists
• Maintains cleanliness standards in restaurant, wait station and kitchen service area in order to have a clean, presentable and attractive facility and to satisfy state and local health board requirements
• Controls allocated guest checks by following established check-use procedures and legibly documenting all required information as the customer's order is taken and processed.
• Receives proper payment from guest and ensures accuracy of guest check and method of payment in order to safeguard customer and company.
• Completes all restocking and cleaning duties by performing opening and closing side work as instructed.
• Attends all pre-meal and departmental meetings in person in order to enhance communications and gain knowledge of products, service and facility.
• Respect all of your co-workers and managers
• Responds to customer inquiries and comments in person and on phone by providing timely and knowledgeable information in order to provide quality customer service.
• Present a clean and professional appearance at all times.
• Have fun at work; leave baggage at the door; come to work with a positive attitude ready and willing to help create a fun and memorable experience for our guests

Requirements

Experience and/or Training

• One year server experience preferred

• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.
